Mind. Body. Spirit.
Morning Offering
“In order to be an image of God, the spirit must turn to what is eternal, hold it in spirit, keep it in memory, and by loving it, embrace it in the will.”
– St. Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein)
The Bible in a Year – Day 46 – Set Apart for God
The Bible in a Year (with Fr. Mike Schmitz)
Day 46: Set Apart for God
Fr. Mike points out how blessing something sets it apart for the purposes of God, and it is no longer meant for ordinary uses. So when we are filled with the spirit of God, our daily task becomes extraordinary, because it is consecrated to God. Today’s readings are Exodus 30-31, Leviticus 22, and Psalm 115.

The Bible in a Year – Day 346 – Fruits of the Spirit
Fr. Mike reminds us of the context of Galatians and reiterates Paul’s admonition not to revert to our previous ways of life now that we have been freed from the yoke of slavery. He also discusses the works of the flesh which separate us from Christ and the fruits of the spirit which result from a life lived in God, reminding us that we will reap what we sow in due season. Today’s readings are Acts 25, Galatians 4-6, and Proverbs 29:15-17.
