The Rosary in a Year – Day 111 – Manifest in Humility

God so profoundly wants us to have confidence to approach him, that he veils his glory and clothes himself in humble humanity, saying, “Come to Me.” Fr. Mark-Mary meditates on a reading from St. Bernard, observing the grandeur of God’s creation and the humility of his Incarnation. Today’s focus is the mystery of the Nativity and we will be praying one decade of the Rosary.

The Rosary in a Year – Day 110 – Greater Seeks Lesser

God doesn’t just stay in heaven and wait for us to approach him. Instead, as reflected in the mystery of the Visitation, God comes in search of us. Fr. Mark-Mary tells us, reading from St. Ambrose, that not only does Mary, the mother of God, seek out Elizabeth, but she even greets her first. Today’s focus is the mystery of the Visitation and we will be praying one decade of the Rosary.

Lord, Make Me a Channel of Your Peace

Lord, make me a channel of your peace.

That where there is hatred, I may bring love.

That where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness,

That where there is discord, I may bring harmony,

That where there is error, I may bring truth,

That where there is doubt, I may bring faith,

That where there is despair, I may bring hope,

That where there are shadows, I may bring light,

That where there is sadness, I may bring joy.

Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort, than to be comforted,

To understand than to be understood,

To love than to be loved.

For it is by forgetting self that one finds.

It is by forgiving that one is forgiven,

And it is by dying that one awakens to eternal life.

Amen.

Hope was There

Hope.

It was there.

Tucked into the tomb.

Hidden behind a huge stone.

Buried under the sting of death.

But, it was there.

Waiting.

And, then.

It happened.

The glorious moment when, not even death,

could hold Jesus in the tomb.

As the stone was rolled away and death lost its grip once and for all,

hope poured forth in glorious fashion.

“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me,

though he may die, he shall live.” ~ John 11:25

Hope.

Sometimes, it gets tucked so far back

in a tomb so dark, we can’t see it.

Sometimes, it gets hidden behind

a stone so big, we lose sight of it.

Sometimes, it gets buried behind

a sorrow and grief so consuming and overwhelming,

we can’t feel it. But, it. is. there.

It is always there. And sometimes,

it is only one stone’s roll away.~❤️

The Rosary in a Year – Day 109 – The Gift of Wonder

St. Gregory Thaumaturgus means St. Gregory the “wonder worker,” Fr. Mark-Mary tells us. Leading us through a reading from St. Gregory, Fr. Mark-Mary directs us to meditate on the true wonder of the Annunciation. God has come to save his people, wanting them to experience forgiveness and freedom. Today’s focus is the mystery of the Annunciation and we will be praying one decade of the Rosary.
