Give Your Heart to Him

For the one trying to pray for and to forgive someone who might not even have asked for your forgiveness –

Sometimes, most times in fact – it is beyond us to forgive without the help of the Spirit.

Sometimes, most times in fact – the best prayer we can pray is that which Jesus, Himself, prayed.

A prayer that is simply and powerfully this:

“Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” ~Luke 23:34

It doesn’t excuse the behavior, but it does guard our own heart against hatred and bitterness. In all things, especially in this – we can follow the example of our Savior.

Just like Jesus, we can give the hurt to our Heavenly Father.~❤

He is Already There

Before the alarm, before the coffee, before the waking up, He is already there.

Before the morning rush, before the drop off line, before the to-dos on your list, He is already there.

Before the deadline, before the disappointment, before the unexpected delay, He is already there.

Before the diagnosis, before the phone call, before the meeting, He is already there.

Before the confrontation, before the heartbreak, before the life-changing news, He is already there.

Before the laughter, before the surprise, before the blessing, He is already there.

Before the decision, before the outcome, before the need to know, He is already there.

Before all you will face, before all you will need to do, before all you will experience, walk through, see and feel this day –

your God is already there.~❤

He Sees Us in the Palm of His Hand

Sometimes, no matter how hard we look and no matter how hard we try, we just can’t seem to see the hand of God moving in our current situation.

We pray. Nothing happens. We wait. Nothing happens. We long for God to move and nothing seems to happen.

In moments like these – moments when weknow that we know that we know our God is there, (He has promised to never leave us or forsake us) but we can’t see His hand, we need to hold tight to this powerful truth:

He is always able to see us in the palm of His.~❤

The Rosary in a Year – Day 149 – Littleness Before the Lord

Henry Ossawa Tanner’s depiction of the Annunciation is distinctly unique. Fr. Mark-Mary directs our meditation to an observation of Mary’s youth and littleness before the Lord, contrasted with her complete trust and confidence. This, he says, can help us trust God despite our own littleness. Today’s focus is the mystery of the Annunciation and we will be praying one decade of the Rosary.

The Rosary in a Year – Day 147 – Fullness of Victory

Mary, through her Immaculate Conception, shares in the fullness of Christ’s victory. Fr. Mark-Mary, meditating on The Immaculate Conception, a fresco in the Church of Santa Maria dell’Orto, in Rome, explains the intrinsic connection between the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption. Today’s focus is the mystery of the Assumption and we will be praying one decade of the Rosary.

The Rosary in a Year – Day 146 – My Soul Thirsts

At Pentecost, the Apostles may have been filled with a reasonable amount of fear, as wind shook the upper room and fire descended. However, Jean Restout’s painting, Pentecost, draws our attention to someone who is unafraid: Mary, who has already experienced the overshadowing of the Spirit. Today’s focus is the mystery of the Descent of the Holy Spirit and we will be praying one decade of the Rosary.
