Hurting people hurt people.
We all know this to be true,
and yet,
when bitter words are spoken,
when hurtful gestures are seen,
when emotional wounds are inflicted,
we forget this truth.
We allow the hurt in our heart
to blind us to the hurt in another.
We allow self,
who demands
to be cooed and coddled,
to keep us from giving
the compassion and caring
so desperately needed by our offender.
We allow our own tears
to blur us to the heart tears
of the one lashing out.
We let our broken feelings
overshadow a heart
broken
and in need
of God’s healing touch.
Oh, Father. Forgive us for being so me-minded, so self-centered, so pride-provoked. Give us eyes that see past our wound to see the truly wounded. Give us hearts to feel beyond our pain and into the pain of others. Help us not simply to know that hurting people hurt people, but to live in such a way as to relieve the hurt. Heal us of our selfish pride that we might be instruments of your healing to those truly hurting without You.
In Jesus’ precious name,
we pray.
Amen. ~❤️

The glorious moment when, not even death,
could hold Jesus in the tomb.
As the stone was rolled away and death lost its grip once and for all,
hope poured forth in glorious fashion.
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me,
though he may die, he shall live.” ~ John 11:25
Hope.
Sometimes, it gets tucked so far back
in a tomb so dark, we can’t see it.
Sometimes, it gets hidden behind
a stone so big, we lose sight of it.
Sometimes, it gets buried behind
a sorrow and grief so consuming and overwhelming,
we can’t feel it. But, it. is. there.
It is always there. And sometimes,
it is only one stone’s roll away.~![]()

Gracious Heavenly Father,
As I pour out my heart before You,
I don’t even know where to begin
or how all of this is going to end.
(My child, I am the Alpha and Omega,
the beginning and the end.
I’ve got this and I’ve got you.)
The voice of the world,
the cry of my heart,
and Your still, small voice –
all intertwined together,
a muffled, muting combination.
How can I hear You, Lord?
How can I find You in all of this, Father God?
(My child, My word is a lamp
for your feet and a light for your path.
My Spirit will lead you into all truth.
I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life.
Ask, and you will receive.
Seek, and you will find.
Knock, and the door will be opened to you.
I am here,
in the midst of all the confusion,
and you will find Me
when you search for Me
with all of your heart.)
Oh, Father God.
I am weary of the battle,
weary of the fight.
I long for peace,
calm assurance, unending strength.
(My child, My peace I give to you.
Not as the world gives peace,
for My peace passes all understanding.
I am not the author of confusion,
I am Truth.
Truth you can stake
your very life on.
Rest in My faithfulness,
walk in My strength.)
Your will, Abba Father.
This is want I desire most.
Your plan, loving Lord.
This is where I want to be.
Your obedient child, Heavenly Father.
This is who I want to be.
(My child, I know the desires of your heart.
If you will but delight yourself in Me,
I will grant them all.
I love you, My child.
I always have and I always will.
I AM here. Be at peace.)
Thank you, Father God.
In Jesus’ precious name,
I pray. Amen.~

Everyone has a story.
Everyone needs a Savior.
So often we allow
the enemy of our soul
to convince us that
everyone else
has it “all together”
and we are the only ones
who don’t.
We are ALL sinners in need of a Savior.
We are ALL sinners in need of grace.
We are ALL sinners in need – period.
Remember:
We aren’t called
to be like other Christians;
we are called
to be like Christ.
Don’t look to others.
Look to God.
Praise God
we have a Savior! ![]()

We all have “a thing”
and most of us, me included,
have “this thing, that thing,
along with so many other things.”
Some things are obvious –
a drug addiction,
a blaring temper,
a lying tongue.
Some things are less obvious –
bitterness,
pride,
a critical spirit.
No matter what it looks like
or what it’s labeled,
regardless of whether it’s seen
or safely hidden out of sight,
our “thing” needs to be dealt with.
Not cut back, but cut off.
Not put aside for awhile,
but put away for good.
This is why we have a Savior.
With God, we can overcome any “thing”.
No”thing” is too hard for Him. (Jeremiah 32:17)
Instead of allowing guilt and condemnation
to build a wall between us and the only
One who can help us,
we need to admit our “thing”
and our need and run straight
into the arms of
our Abba Father, Almighty God,
our Maker and our Creator.
If we don’t,
our thing may be the very thing
that drives our heart
away from the heart
of our Saviour.
Cry out and He will answer.
Try.
If you fall, get up
and try again, and again, and again.
If you continue to seek His face and
to draw from His strength,
you will gain the victory.
Through Christ, we are more than conquerors! (Romans 8:37)
No”thing” is too hard for our God.
N.O.T.H.I.N.G.
What’s your thing?
Give it to God.
Right here.
Right now.~![]()
