Give Us This Day – Evening Intercessions

Creating God, you change our mourning into dancing. In hope we pray: Teach us your hidden wisdom, O God.

Inspire scientists, medical researchers, and health-care workers in their efforts to stop the spread of disease.

Teach us your hidden wisdom, O God.

Ease the suffering of those who have suffered trauma, and sensitize us to the hurts of others.

Teach us your hidden wisdom, O God.

Help us to celebrate and protect life in all its stages and to order our days in peace and love.

Teach us your hidden wisdom, O God.

Our Father . . .

May the joy of holy Easter fill our hearts and lead us to rejoice always in Jesus, the salvation of God. Amen.

Daily Message from Pope Francis – God Always Forgives

MONDAY, MARCH 22, 2021

“Do not forget that God always forgives, always, if we humbly ask for forgiveness. It is enough just to ask for forgiveness, and he forgives. In this way we will find true joy and be able to rejoice in God’s forgiveness, which regenerates and gives life.  May Mary Most Holy help us not to be afraid of letting ourselves be “thrown into crisis” by Jesus. It is a healthy crisis, for our healing: so that our joy may be full.” Pope Francis

Feast Day for March 14th – Laetare Sunday

The fourth Sunday of Lent is traditionally known by the name Laetare Sunday. This name is taken from the Introit at Mass, Laetare Jerusalem which means “Rejoice, O Jerusalem.” Laetare Sunday marks the halfway point through the Lenten season of fasting, abstinence, and penance, and because of this it is a day of joy in anticipation of the close arrival of Easter. This day corresponds with Gaudete Sunday halfway through the Advent season, where the priests wear rose-colored liturgical vestments and the altar is decorated with flowers, often roses.

Daily Message from Pope Francis – Following in the Footsteps of Christ

Friday, February 26, 2021

“Love, following in the footsteps of Christ, in concern and compassion for all, is the highest expression of our faith and hope… Love rejoices in seeing others grow. Hence it suffers when others are anguished, lonely, sick, homeless, despised or in need. Love is a leap of the heart; it brings us out of ourselves and creates bonds of sharing and communion.”Pope Francis
